Lumi rooftop is located on the top floor of the former Conde de Lumiares Palace, now home to The Lumiares Hotel. It is inspired by the light of Lisbon, a special attribute of the city, while also referencing the original name of the 18th-century building. The design of this project prioritizes an efficient use of space and the necessary functions of restaurant operations and storage.
To amplify the unique quality of Lisbon’s light, we created a brass panelled wall, framed with bursts of yellow bougainvilleas, that plays with the sun’s reflection over the stone elements. We also designed the round bar and complementary ceramic wall lights which enhance the yellow colour scheme of the space.
